How Covid Stole 2020

 

In a town called Wuhan, awoke COVID 19

Now our fall is long gone, & we’ve watched all our Netflix scenes

 

20/20 vision was the expectation

But all our time was spent waiting on vaccinations.

 

Schools are online, and businesses closed

Spent far more than planned on Amazon clothes

 

But not all was bad, we learned something new

Our communities are Kind!  (And good bread bakers too!)

 

Food Pantries expanded & new ones appeared

Nurses & Doctors, and Helpers were cheered.

 

Our drinks are to-go, like a lemonade stand

We just have to wait for the delivery man.

 

Birthday parades & video meeting

But we’re now in control of our office heating!

 

Started Drive In Concerts, New businesses boomed

We showed off our dance moves on phone or on Zoom.

Our researchers worked all year on a fix

And the Steelers are trying to add to our Six.

 

This year may be leaner and 6 feet away

But we still have blessings for this Holiday.

 

So if you’re feeling blue, or in a tight pinch

Remember what the “Who’s” taught the Grinch

 

It’s not about packages, boxes or bags

It’s about each other and what we all have.
